Survey, Supply, Installation & Commissioning of R290 All-in-One Heat Pump at International School Thika
This project entails the complete delivery and setup of an R290 All-in-One Heat Pump system, designed to provide an energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and reliable hot water solution for the International School Thika.
R290 All in One Heat Pump
- 1. Site Survey & System Design The process begins with a detailed on-site assessment to determine the most suitable system configuration. Scope includes: Evaluating hot water demand across dormitories, kitchens, and washrooms Inspecting existing plumbing, electrical systems, and installation space Assessing environmental factors such as ventilation and ambient temperature Determining optimal positioning for maximum efficiency and safety. Outcome: A tailored heat pump solution aligned with the school’s operational needs.
- 2. Supply of R290 All-in-One Heat Pump System Following the survey, the required equipment is procured and delivered to site. System components include: R290 All-in-One Heat Pump Unit (integrated heat pump and storage tank) Built-in high-efficiency compressor and heat exchanger Control system and safety features Necessary fittings and accessories for installation Why R290? Uses propane (R290) refrigerant, which is eco-friendly with low global warming potential High energy efficiency and performance Reduced environmental impact compared to conventional systems Outcome: Delivery of a compact, high-performance, and environmentally responsible heating solution.
- 3. Installation & Integration This phase involves setting up and integrating the system into the school’s infrastructure. Key activities: Positioning and mounting of the all-in-one unit Connection to water supply and distribution systems Electrical connections and control setup Installation of piping, insulation, and safety components Outcome: A properly installed system that meets engineering standards and safety requirements.
